Save Progress – Forms, Surveys & Quizzes

Multi-step forms just became a lot less intimidating! 🎉 WashOS now lets respondents save their progress mid-way through a Form, Survey, or Quiz and come back to finish it later — no lost answers, no starting over. Just flip a toggle and WashOS handles the rest.

✨ What's New

A Save Exit Confirmation toggle has been added to the Settings tab for:

• Forms
• Surveys
• Quizzes

Once enabled, any respondent who exits before submitting will have their answers automatically saved so they can resume seamlessly on their next visit.

• Automatic progress saving for multi-step Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes
• A simple toggle in the Settings tab turns the feature on or off
• Respondents can return at any time and continue exactly where they stopped
• A Resume Progress modal gives respondents the choice to carry on or start fresh
• The modal automatically adopts your branding:
  1. CTA button color pulls from the configured footer color
  2. Text font matches the configured label font
• Works seamlessly on both desktop and mobile

⚙️ How It Works

• Navigate to the Settings tab of your Form, Survey, or Quiz in WashOS
• Turn on the Save Exit Confirmation toggle
• Respondents start filling out a multi-step Form, Survey, or Quiz
• If they close the browser, refresh the page, or navigate away before submitting, their progress is saved automatically
• When they return, a Resume Progress modal appears offering two options:
  1. Pick up from where they left off, or
  2. Begin a brand-new submission

📋 Notes

• Save Progress only applies to multi-step Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes
• The feature must be explicitly enabled via the Save Exit Confirmation toggle — existing forms are unaffected until you turn it on
• Progress is only saved automatically when the feature is active
• The Resume Progress modal inherits your form's existing branding styles automatically
